I recently attended the Global Speakers Summit in Bali. It was a bucket list experience, hearing from some of the top speakers in the world, many of whom have been professional speakers for 20 – 30 years.
As a “soul speaker,” one speaker really stood out at the convention, even among all the accomplished speakers.
Rainer Patek from Austria delivered a powerful message on leadership with passion and flawless execution. Every word mattered.
It is difficult to dissect such an extraordinary contribution in a few paragraphs. It feels like it does not do justice to the nuanced message he so beautifully told.
But for me, it embodied all the values I admire –
Professionalism with Humility and Humanity. All wrapped up in a sensory immersion in leadership.
From Clutter to Clarity.
From Fog to Focus.
Raine’s slides were a testimony to the power of immersive visuals – we felt like we were there on the mountain. His storytelling was riveting. His messaging was beyond speaking.
He left me with a poignant question as I too, summit the last mountains in my life in my silver years.
How do we keep climbing?
In clarity.
In contribution.
Beyond the fog.
So that we can see
Where we need to ascend,
As mountain guides
In order to
Truly serve 💙
I have returned from Bali and Australia with a greater sense of clarity about what servant leadership really means.
Through inclines and valleys.
Step by careful step.
Measured.
Deliberate.
One mountain at a time.
